Try to find out the type of poison, time of exposure, amount, and
the person’s age and symptoms.
Call 911 and the Pittsburgh Poison Center at 1-800-222-1222.
Follow their instructions.
Bring the poison container, label, or name with the person to
emergency care. Bring the entire plant or mushroom (in a paper bag)
or a sample of vomit to help with identification.
Carbon Monoxide Poisoning
Get to fresh air immediately.
If the person is unconscious, take a deep breath of clean air
before entering the space, then drag or carry them to clean air.

Only if the area is safe for you to enter, quickly open windows and
doors, turn off appliances, engine, or heat source. Call the
Allegheny County Health Department at 412-687-ACHD [2243], or the
gas company, or heating contractor, or call 911.
